Anniversary Giveaway!

I’ve been blogging for a year now, so it’s time for a celebration. I figure the best way to celebrate is to give something away.

4606371-xsmallTo be entered in the giveaway, leave a comment between now and midnight of Wednesday, May 22. Tell me about your favorite book, the book you’re currently reading, or the book you’re writing. One commenter randomly selected to win a $20 Amazon gift card.

Let’s talk books!

  1. think the book that comes to mind first, although there have been a lot that I’ve enjoyed, is Dick Francis book “The Edge” (nothing like the movie of the same name); interesting protagonist (rather a quiet James Bondish type), great story line, and an ‘Orient Express’ type train ride across Canada!!

  2. Fun! Happy Anniversary! I WAS currently reading Scarlet–the second book in the Lunar Chronicles series by Melissa Meyer, but I wasn’t fast enough, and I had to return it to the library before I finished. Bummer. It was good. Now I’m reading Karen Witemeyer’s new book “Stealing the Preacher.” Holy genre change, Batman! I know. But it is also delightful. She’s one of the only historical writers I consistently love.

  3. One of my favorite books is, The Sisters Mortland, By Sally Beauman. 2005
It’s the summer of 1967: Thirteen-year-old Maise is at her family home, A decaying medievil abbey in the heart of rural Suffolk, England. A friend, Lukas, is painting a portrait of Maise and her older sisters, Julia and Finn. Masie embarks upon a portrait of her own: she begins an account of her family and of a summer in which their lives will irrevocably, and terribly, change.
“If i didn’t spy, I’d live in a maze of unknowing -Maise maze-and I hate it.I need to be informed.”
    I couldn’t put it down.
    Told in three different POV’s.
